It’s completely natural to feel a little bit concerned about signing up for a new online casino, especially one like Almabet Casino which is not only based in a country that is rarely associated with online casinos (Turkey), but also only accepts crypto deposits from foreign players. Almabet Casino is owned and operated by Etheratech N.V., a relatively new player in the online casino industry. While we were able to find out that they have a few smaller casino sites behind them, Etheratech is hardly a well-established company, and they’re not a name that most players would recognize. With that said, their other casinos have a pretty poor reputation with their users, which doesn’t exactly paint a good picture for Almabet’s future.

Almabet Casino does appear to be fully licensed by the Curacao Gaming Authority, which is certainly a step in the right direction. While Curacao is considered a “weak” license (as it will not refund players who were scammed, but simply penalize the offending casino), it’s still a lot better than nothing, and should serve to give reluctant players a little bit more reassurance than if the site had no license whatsoever.

With that said, it’s worth noting that over the course of our research, we had some difficulty confirming the validity of Almabet’s license. We were able to confirm it eventually, but it wasn’t a very straightforward process at all – even the link on Almabet’s own website said that it wasn’t licensed! While ultimately this oddity can be attributed to technical glitches, it’s still worth keeping in mind.

Sadly, if you end up scammed by Almabet Casino, you won’t really have a ton of ways to go about restoring your stolen money. Given that the casino doesn’t appear to have any functioning contacts (at least, it doesn’t as of the time of writing), you will not be able to write them directly and ask for assistance. This leaves filing a complaint with Curacao as the only option, but even if your complaint is successful, Curacao will not even assist you with restoring your deposit, let alone giving you back your winnings. The money may as well be lost.
