Is FoxyGold Casino Legit?

It’s important to note that determining the legitimacy of a casino site isn’t always something that’s cut and dry. Yes, sometimes it’s incredibly obvious whether the casino belongs to a big, reputable company (or the opposite, has some scammy unknown owner), but other times, the situation is a lot more gray – and this is one of those times. The license and owner information listed in the site’s footer does not match the details we were able to uncover through our own investigation – which is interesting because (as we’ll explain a bit further down) we were able to determine that FoxyGold has a license. So why those details aren’t listed plainly is anyone’s guess.

Who is the FoxyGold Casino’s owner?

If you look at the footer of the casino, it’ll proudly display a Costa Rican company by the name of EOD Code SRL – which does already operate several other casinos. However, our investigation has determined that the real owners are a company called Igloo Ventures SRL, another Costa Rican company. Are they both the same, just with different names – and if so, where does the difference lie? Why? Sadly, we don’t have an answer to these questions. It could be something as simple as a shell company set up for certification purposes, or as malevolent as a deliberate attempt to deceive players. We simply don’t know.

FoxyGold’s footer won’t give you even a hint of what license the casino might hold. It’ll only tell you the name of the company (EOD Code SRL) and that it’s registered in Costa Rica. Now, Costa Rica technically doesn’t issue casino licenses, but many scammy casinos claim that they’re “licensed by Costa Rica” because it’s technically true (they don’t tell you that it’s a BUSINESS license and not a CASINO license). So, FoxyGold is a scam, right? Not necessarily, because as we investigated further, we found it to be licensed by Anjouan, making it a properly regulated casino compliant with many countries’ gambling laws. As for why that information hasn’t been presented in the footer, quite frankly, we have no idea.

FoxyGold Casino complaints & disputes

Since FoxyGold is licensed by Anjouan, if push comes to shove, you can always file a complaint with them. Anjouan may be a very new regulator, but they take allegations of fraud very seriously – so if you were to end up in a situation where you feel like you’ve been scammed, this is always a recourse you can take. However, before you do that, we would advise you to consider sending an email to FoxyGold and try to iron out the issue with them personally. Best case scenario, it works out, and both sides are happy. Worst case, you could always report them to Anjouan later!
