Cage (Craps term)

In the game of craps, the “cage” refers to the area where the dice are rolled and the bets are placed. This is typically a raised platform at one end of the craps table where the dealer or “stickman” stands. The cage is surrounded by a wire or glass enclosure to prevent players from interfering with the dice roll. The term “cage” comes from the fact that the dice are often rolled inside a small, enclosed space to ensure that they are rolled fairly and randomly.
