Even (Craps term)

In the game of craps, the term “even” is used to refer to a bet on the numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, or 12. This bet is made by placing chips on the craps table in the area marked “even,” which is located next to the box corresponding to the desired number. The even bet pays out at 1-1 odds if the number is rolled on the come-out roll, or if the number becomes the point. This bet is considered to be a one-roll bet, because it will be resolved on the next roll of the dice, regardless of whether or not a point has been established.
