Is Instant Casino Legit?
Determining the legitimacy of an online casino has always been more of an art than a craft. Some sites make it extremely obvious that they’re scamming, while others are a bit harder to gauge. Instant Casino belongs in the latter category, but it’s coming dangerously close to the former. The site doesn’t have a license, and its owner has a very poor reputation among gamblers. While we encourage players to do their own research and figure out whether they’d trust Instant Casino, personally, we wouldn’t risk playing there.
Who is the Instant Casino’s owner?
Instant Casino is owned and operated by EOD Code SRL, and the situation behind them is… complicated. If you look them up, you’ll find them listed as the owners of several different casino sites, like Incognito Casino – all of which with a very poor reputation. What we also discovered, after some research, is that they’re linked to Simba NV – another company whose casino sites aren’t particularly trusted by players. It’s possible that the two are the same company, and Simba rebranded to EOD Code after facing backlash. It’s also possible that both companies are owned and operated by a singular entity, using different names across different markets. Either way, it’s clear that the people in charge are open to some really shady tactics to cover their tracks – just like it’s clear that this hasn’t been working out too well for them.
Instant Casino license
Every online casino must have a license. This is not only the law in most countries (chances being, yours included), but it also means that the casino has someone to keep them accountable. After all, if you live in, say, Romania, then the Romanian government might not have the resources to police every casino accepting Romanian players. It’s much easier for a private company (usually linked to a country, like Curacao, but still private) to monitor casinos as a whole and look after the rights of all players. If a gambler gets scammed, the casino loses its license – doesn’t matter if the player is from Romania, Argentina, or Nigeria.
We’re telling you this so that you’ll have an idea of why it’s bad that Instant Casino doesn’t have a license. In its footer, it states that it’s a registered company in Costa Rica, which is likely true – but a company registration is not a casino license. It’s the latter that helps keep players protected, and sadly, Instant doesn’t appear to have anything of the sort. This is a huge mistake on their part, andi t makes playing there that much less safe for players.
Instant Casino complaints & disputes
So, what happens when you have a dispute with an unlicensed casino like Instant? Under normal circumstances you’d be able to, at worst, send a report to their regulator and get them investigated, but what can you do here? Well, your best and only retort is to send Instant Casino themselves an e-mail with your politely worded complaint and hope that they take it seriously. However, keep in mind that they have no incentive to actually listen to you. If they, for example, are refusing to send you your winnings, you have no recourse to take against them. This is generally why reviewers (such as ourselves) recommend that you avoid playing at unlicensed casino sites.
