Is MrJones Casino Legit?
Look, we haven’t been very positive in our assessment of MrJones over the course of this review. We called it out for many things – its lack of payment options, its outdated interface, the absence of reload promotions… But one thing we can’t say about it is that it’s an illegitimate casino. Indeed, after a lot of research on our end, we were able to determine that the site is licensed and seems to have a reputable, well-established parent company behind it. We’ve elaborated upon both of those aspects below, but remember that if you don’t agree with our assessment, that’s fine! What matters is that you play at sites that make you feel comfortable, and if MrJones doesn’t, it’s best to find a new one.
Who is the MrJones Casino’s owner?
MrJones is owned by a relatively obscure company called ChapChap Technologies Limited. Although it may be easy to assume that this is some kind of made-up name associated with just this one site (especially since a simple Google search will show you a lot of companies named ChapChap that have nothing to do with this one), that isn’t the case at all. In fact, ChapChap Technologies has two other casinos under its belt, including Zino and Aztec Paradise. Both of them have a good reputation, which means it’s unlikely MrJones will be any different.
MrJones Casino license
But even the most reputable casino company can’t get away without having a proper license, right? After all, in many countries it’s illegal to play at sites that aren’t overseen by a regulator, and even if in yours that’s not the case, it’s still a great idea to do it anyway because, well… Would you say it’s better to play at a casino that’s totally unregulated or one that has an authority breathing down its neck? Enter Anjouan, a fairly new regulator (at least as of the time of writing) that has been making huge waves across the casino industry. Its licenses are fairly easy to obtain, but very difficult to keep for long, as Anjouan are very strict on their casinos following regulations and treating players fairly. Wanna see if MrJones has kept its license today? Select the Anjouan icon in the footer of the casino and find out!
MrJones Casino complaints & disputes
Having a license isn’t just something that’s beneficial for legal reasons – it has practical uses as well. Beyond overseeing casinos to make sure they’re following the rules (like for verification), regulators may also investigate reports of fraud and penalize sites that are found to engage in it. As such, if you’d like to file a dispute against MrJones, you could always do that for Anjouan. However, we would recommend that you first reach out to the support team and see if they can help you out. Consider a report with the regulator the “nuclear option”, the last resort if all else fails.
