Royalen Casino No Deposit Bonus

You’ve probably heard of a welcome bonus (in fact, we’ll go ahead and explain the Royalen welcome package in a moment), but do you know what a no deposit bonus is? If you’re a younger gambler, chances are you don’t, even though this type of offer was once very common. The idea was that you’d sign up and immediately receive a small offer: for example, 10 free spins or €5 worth of bonus cash, just as a thank you for registering. Royalen Casino First Deposit Bonus – 200% Match up to €2,000 + 200 Free Spins

Although many casino sites will grant you a full welcome package which awards you with a bonus for each of your first two, three, four or however many deposits it covers, Royalen keeps things simpler. It has two separate bonuses: a one-time ‘regular’ welcome bonus and a two-part ‘high roller’ offer which we’ll discuss in just a moment. There’s a good reason why the bonuses are created like that, and although we would have liked to see a welcome package for regular players too, the one-time bonus should be enough.

Specifically, you’ll receive a 200% match up to €2,000 – meaning you’ll essentially triple your deposit. For example, if you deposit the minimum of €20, you’ll receive €40 worth of bonus funds for a total of €60 to play with. Not only that, but you’ll also get 200 free spins – 50 immediately upon claiming the bonus, and then 50 a day for three days.

But every bonus comes with its own fine text you need to pay attention to, and this one is no exception. For starters, to even get this bonus you’ll have to use the bonus code “ROYAL_WELCOME” during registration – yes, it’s very unusual for a welcome bonus to require a bonus code, but here we are! Once the cash is yours, you’ll need to play through the full amount (deposit + bonus) x30 times within 7 days. A pretty tough, but by no means impossible requirement.

First High Roller Bonus – 50% Match up to €5,000

As mentioned earlier, while regular players only receive a single welcome bonus, high rollers can enjoy a two-deposit welcome package. This offer comes with no free spins, but you can take advantage of a significantly higher maximum deposit – up to €5,000. To compensate, the match percentage has been reduced to just 50%, meaning that although you can potentially get up to two and a half times what the regular bonus offers, you’ll also need to deposit twice as much money to claim it.

In fact, the minimum deposit here is €250, which is already pretty steep. But there’s another reason why someone would want to take advantage of this offer over the regular one, besides the higher amount: the wagering requirements are also significantly lower. This time, you’ll just need to play through the bonus and deposit x20 times, and you won’t have any free spins winnings to worry about. This means that, at least in theory, it should be slightly more likely to withdraw this bonus than the first deposit one.

Second High Roller Bonus – 50% Match up to €5,000

If you claimed the high roller bonus, you’ll also be eligible for a second deposit bonus as part of the high roller welcome package. This bonus is… well, exactly the same as the first deposit one, so there’s really no point in explaining it here. You’re still getting a 50% match up to €5,000, and you’ll still only need to wager the deposit + bonus x20 times to withdraw it. The only thing that’s (very slightly) different is the bonus code you’ll need to use, which is “ROYAL_HIGH2”. Who’d have thought!

Crypto Deposit Bonus – 300% Match up to €100

The third and final welcome bonus you can select can only be activated if you make a deposit using crypto… and it’s kind of a weird one. The match percentage is incredibly generous, a whopping 300% – but on the flipside, the maximum bonus amount you can receive is only €100. This means that you can max out the entire bonus with a deposit of less than €35, which is not something we can say about most welcome bonuses.

Not only will you need to deal with that (and the fact that you have to use crypto to get this bonus), but also, this offer has significantly higher wagering requirements than either of the other welcome promos: x40. Granted, a much lower amount means that you’ll also struggle less to withdraw it, but overall, this is the least appealing of the three options despite its generous match percentage. Limited-Time Offers

Whichever one of the three bonuses you picked, you’ll inevitably have run out of it after your first, MAYBE second deposit if you’re lucky. Okay, what then? Most casino sites will give you access to reload promotions which (no surprise there) reload after each use, so that you can take advantage of them as many times as you need. But Royalen isn’t most sites, and there aren’t any reload promos here. Instead, what you’ll need to be content with are a handful of limited-time promotions that will appear throughout the year, often tied to holidays and events. These bonuses are also one-time like the welcome offer, but they’re also only claimable for a set amount of time, usually a few weeks. Not an appropriate substitute for reload offers at all.

VIP Program

In the absence of any reload promos, the only consistent promotion you can rely on will be the VIP program: the loyalty initiative intended to reward long-term players. And yeah, no points for guessing this one isn’t very good, either. The way it works is that you’ll be collecting comp points for each wager, with slots contributing 1 CP per €10 wagered and other games (like live casino) contributing 1 CP per €50.

Once you have a set amount of points, you’ll not only receive a special one-time bonus, but also a cashback on all your net losses starting at 5%. That’s pretty cool, right? Well, it is until you look at the fine text. It takes 20 CP to enter the program at the ground level, which isn’t too unreasonable, but the requirement for each level increases so quickly that if you want to reach level 3 you’ll need 1,500 CP. If you’re not great at math, that’s €15,000 wagered in slots and a hilariously high €750,000 on live games. Again, that’s for level 3! The level that gives you €50 and a 10% cashback.

If you want to reach level 9 and unlock the VIP manager, you’ll have to accumulate 800,000 points – so, €8m wagered on slots, €40m on live games. At this point, we’ll just have to assume there are no people hired to be VIP managers at this casino.
