Is Slotit Casino Legit?

Determining whether an online casino site is legit or not can often be a little tricky – but there are a few signs we often look at to help us make a determination. Primarily, we look at the license and owner, which we also did with Slotit, and the results are… inconclusive. Although the domain is listed in Anjouan’s registry, meaning the casino is licensed, there is a discrepancy between that information and the details listed on the site (as we’ll explain a bit below). As such, it’s impossible to determine with certainty whether the site is legitimate, and we would advise players to exercise caution when choosing whether to play here.

Who is the Slotit Casino’s owner?

Sometimes, the question of “who owns this casino site” can be answered incredibly quickly, and in a very straightforward way. Other times, things can get a little… murky. And sadly, this is the latter case. If you look at Slotit’s website, you’ll see very clearly that it’s registered to a company called EOD Code SRL – says so right there in the footer. So, case closed, right? Well, not quite, because if you look up the casino’s license, you will see that the company that owns it is called Igloo Ventures SRL. So, which one is the real one? Are they the same company, just under different names? That seems the likeliest scenario, but alas, research has given us insufficient evidence to call it one way or the other.

Slotit is licensed and regulated by Anjouan – that much is true, but it’s not exactly very clear. If you go by what it says on its website, then it’s easy to assume that Slotit doesn’t have a license, as it’s listed as being “registered in Costa Rica”. Costa Rica doesn’t regulate online casinos any differently than it does other businesses, so in a way, a “Costa Rica business license” means that the casino is unlicensed.

We were, at first, ready to write Slotit off as a scam – but then we searched its name through the Anjouan license registry, which is public. What do you know – turns out, the site has a perfectly legit Anjouan license. So, why is that information missing from its footer? Anjouan is a significantly more reliable and trustworthy regulator than the nothingburger that is Costa Rica! Alas, just like with the company name, it may be impossible to know for sure.

So, let’s say that you’ve got a bone to pick with Slotit Casino. Maybe they suspended your profile for no reason, or perhaps they are refusing to let you withdraw your winnings. What can you do? Well, there are a few steps you can take, chief among which should be sending them a polite email asking for more information about your case. Consider it a courtesy – and who knows, it might just be enough to get the ball rolling!

But let’s assume that it doesn’t, and either you get ignored, or the answer you get is very unsatisfying. Your next step should be filing a report directly with Anjouan, the regulator that oversees Slotit’s fairness. They’re a third party company who can investigate your claims on your behalf and then penalize the casino if wrongdoing is actually confirmed.
