Wild Tokyo Casino Is it Legit?
Is Wild Tokyo Casino Legit?
Admittedly, we haven’t been the kindest towards Wild Tokyo – and haven’t hesitated to call it out when we felt like it could have done more by its players. But just because it’s not a great casino doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a scammy one, right? Unfortunately, in Wild Tokyo’s case, it’s likely both. Although many other online reviewers have given this site high grades (which we’ll talk about later), we weren’t able to find any evidence that this is a legitimate and properly licensed casino site.
Who is the Wild Tokyo Casino’s owner?
If you poke around Wild Tokyo’s site looking for its parent company, you’ll quickly find out that it’s not actually listed anywhere. You could search in the footer (where it typically is) or in the About Us section, or the terms and conditions, or even ask support – but you won’t find an answer. Researching, we found conflicting information, with no less than 3 different names associated with the casino.
Interestingly enough, Wild Tokyo links a review by a big online casino reviewer in its footer – which is probably the first time we’ve seen a site do that. That review, which designates the casino as being excellent and trustworthy, lists the parent company as “GBL Solutions N.V.” – but also gets the founding date wrong, so who knows whether the owner is accurate. Funnily enough, the user feedback on that very review is overwhelmingly negative, so it’s interesting how the casino still saw it fit to link to a review where nearly all players are calling it a scam. Bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see if it works out for them!
Wild Tokyo Casino license
If you’re a little more savvy regarding how casino sites work, you might realize that every legal casino needs a license – and the license certificate would show the name of the company. Licenses are issued to the parent companies, not to individual sites, after all… Oh, and look, there’s a link to a Curacao Gaming Control Board certificate right there in the footer!
So, why did we struggle so much with figuring out who owns Wild Tokyo? Because the link doesn’t work, and it doesn’t work because it’s not a link at all. Just a still image. Anyone could put it on their website. It’s completely meaningless without the actual certificate, which isn’t provided. So how can we trust that Wild Tokyo is licensed, and if it isn’t, how can we trust it’s legit?
Wild Tokyo Casino complaints & disputes
When it comes to licensed, regulated casinos, the pipeline for filing a dispute is very simple and obvious. First off, you’re supposed to contact support and try to work out the issue with them, see if a mutually amicable solution can be found. If it can’t, and you’re convinced you were scammed, you report the casino to its regulator – something that could get the site into a lot of trouble, hence why they’d want to cooperate with you to avoid it. But since Wild Tokyo isn’t regulated by anyone (as far as we can tell), who would you report it to? And if here isn’t an authority like Curacao standing by with a stick, what’s their incentive to cooperate with you?
