Knowing the ins and outs of Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) processes is essential before using Wino. Your account has to be activated when you register and get the Welcome email. You'll also need to provide particular documents for KYC verification.

There is a long list of papers that must be uploaded in order to finish the KYC procedure. A colored copy or image of your identification document (driver's license, passport, etc.) is required first. Your whole name, DOB, and expiry date should all be visible on the paper.

Then, with the selected document's front and back sides beneath your chin, take a selfie and submit it. Also, ensure that the energy bill or bank statement you are submitting is no more than three months old and that you have a colored copy, image, or screenshot of it. Include your name, address, and the date of issuance, along with the logo of the company on the paper.

Then, log in to your account, go to My Account, then Profile Details, then ID Documents, and then click “Upload new Documents.” Another option is to send them to Customer Support via email.

Needless to say, it's best to make sure that all submitted files are suitable by reading the requirements carefully. No picture file size more than 5 MB can be uploaded; PNG, JPEG, and GIF are all acceptable formats.

The only tricky part is that your account may be temporarily suspended unless all papers are submitted within 30 days of registration or prior to your first withdrawal. To further confirm your identification, more papers may be required in some rare situations. Within one business day of providing the necessary paperwork, you will be notified via email of your KYC verification status.

Be aware that your account may be subject to limits on withdrawals or website access while such security checks are active. If you have any problems due to these limitations, you can reach out to Customer Services.

Proof of identification, proof of residence, utility bills, financial information, or statements may be requested by Wino to complete security checks. All papers may need to be notarized. Account limits or closure may occur if appropriate information is not provided.
